Local man considers himself influencer after being the first person in the street to put out the recycling bin

A local man is pondering an unexpected career change this week after being the first person to put out a recycling bin for collection in his entire street. Nicholas, 35, admitted he didn’t think much of his bin-night effort — until he happened to notice that all of his neighbours followed suit quickly.

“I actually couldn’t remember whether it was recycling week this week, but the level of shame I felt from number of empty cans in the bin made me realise it must have been two weeks’ worth,” he told MAANT reporter Liv Luvlarf.

The Mandurah resident admits feeling a sense of superiority for being the first one in the street to remember, but assures us that he won’t let it get to his head too quickly… even if he has already put up a smug post in the neighbourhood Facebook page.
