Local woman pretends to be busy while random tradie is in her home

A Brisbane local has found herself in an unexpected moment of false productivity after deeming it too awkward to sit there doing nothing while a tradie was doing work in her home. Olivia, a shift worker who doesn’t have the luxury of a partner who can fix things, opted to play The Sims on her laptop under the pretence of remote work while an electrician repaired a faulty light fitting in her kitchen.

MAANT can reveal that she sat strategically so that her laptop screen couldn’t be seen by the tradesperson, and that she added a couple of confused facial expressions to further solidify her appearance as a busy remote professional.

It’s believed that these tactics worked as intended, with the tradesperson not attempting to make any small talk during the completion of the work. Sources are currently unsure whether she felt pressure to offer him a tea, coffee or water. More to come.
