Local woman admits she hasn’t felt a rush since Mathletics in 2010

A local Melbourne woman has recently admitted that she hasn’t felt the same since competing in high-school Mathletics in 2010. Georgia, who is nearing 30, spoke to MAANT this week about the nostalgic admission.

“I’ve done ketamine with my boss, listed an iPhone for sale on Marketplace, and fought for my life in a Ticketmaster queue, and none of those experiences even come close to the rush of playing Mathletics in year 9 with some complete strangers on the other side of the world.”

Mathletics, an online-based maths game that involved racing against other users to solve mathematical equations within a certain time limit, was created in 2005 as a way to make maths enjoyable whilst sharpening users’ mental arithmetic skills. However, the unexpected outcome of the game instead was causing beef with your friends, random American strangers, and maths teachers who were unprepared for the computer room havoc that ensued.
